Producer, songwriter, composer and performer Sheridan Tongue releases albums under his artist moniker IN-IS.
Belfast-born composer Sheridan Tongue is celebrating the upcoming release of his new concept album 2068 by sharing his second single, 'Broken Ones', featuring Haula.
The concept album centres around what the world will appear like in 50 years, using creativity to portray an era which is equal parts desolate and hopeful for humanity.
Utilising strings, synth, modern classical and drone music to create the darker melodic track, 'Broken Ones' showcases IN-IS' talent for sleek electronic production and beautiful construction of sound.
2068 will see the artist collaborate with Haula, Ireland's Ailbhe Reddy, Tom Adams, Iran's Ava Bowers, Johny Satellitesister, David Gledhill and Germany's Alev Lenz.
IN-IS released the track 'Daydream' with Dublin-based folk pop singer Ailbhe Reddy back in June of this year - his first solo music in four years.
The Northern Irish artist is best known for his scores combining bespoke electronic elements with acoustic instruments, and started his career in London recording studios with the likes of Blur and Robert Plant.
Sheridan was presented with a gold record for his work on the album Prodigal Sista by Beverly Knight.
He segued into film and television composition and is best known for composing the music for seasons 9-20 of the BBC drama series Silent Witness and the soundtracks for Professor Stephen Hawking’s films.
Sheridan also completed the soundtrack for the major seven-part series for BBC Northern Ireland called Spotlight on The Troubles: A Secret History, to mark the 50-year anniversary since the conflict began.
The IN-IS concept album 2068 is due for release on October 16, 2020.
