Last seen as the frontman of the much-loved and sorely missed indie heroes The Magic Gang, Jack Kaye has returned with a solo project and debut EP Go Easy.

The Beach Boys-influenced melodies and easy charm of his band's work is evident here too, but the turbulence of the band's breakup and the self-examination of the years that followed give these songs a cautious and world-weary edge.

Despite this, reuniting with former bandmates Angus Taylor and Paris Giles on the EP gives the songs the same bounce and joy as the best Magic Gang recordings.
